I’m in Canada and I want to renew a subscription. I get three quarters of the way through the process and the cost pops up in Canadian dollars. I have a choice. Change credit cards (to the one that doesn’t charge a foreign currency fee) and pay in Canadian dollars or quit, turn on my VPN, and start again. Why can’t they assume I want to carry on my life in US dollars even when I am out of the country. Maybe even give me a choice upfront instead of making the choice for me but not telling me until I have almost completed the transaction? Bad design.
